Scope of the Role

As Senior Mechanical Engineer, you’ll take ownership of transitioning a scrappy prototype into a scalable, manufacturable commercial product.

  • Deliver CAD, engineering drawings, and full technical documentation
  • Lead design for manufacture with contract manufacturers and industrial partners
  • Repackage core assemblies for robustness and ease of production
  • Implement structured design reviews, change control, and traceability
  • Support transfer to production and prepare for compliance needs

Key Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a Senior Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Design Engineer
  • Experience developing electromechanical systems and hands-on prototyping
  • Proficiency in Fusion 360 or SolidWorks, with detailed tolerance analysis
  • DFM experience with plastics, enclosures, and small-scale assembly
  • Exposure to optics, fluidics, or diagnostic hardware is beneficial

Salary and Benefits

  • £70,000 – 75,000 basic salary
