Scope of the Role
As Senior Mechanical Engineer, you’ll take ownership of transitioning a scrappy prototype into a scalable, manufacturable commercial product.
- Deliver CAD, engineering drawings, and full technical documentation
- Lead design for manufacture with contract manufacturers and industrial partners
- Repackage core assemblies for robustness and ease of production
- Implement structured design reviews, change control, and traceability
- Support transfer to production and prepare for compliance needs
Key Skills and Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Senior Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Design Engineer
- Experience developing electromechanical systems and hands-on prototyping
- Proficiency in Fusion 360 or SolidWorks, with detailed tolerance analysis
- DFM experience with plastics, enclosures, and small-scale assembly
- Exposure to optics, fluidics, or diagnostic hardware is beneficial
Salary and Benefits
- £70,000 – 75,000 basic salary
