Kodu has partnered with Shaily Innovations to hire a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Brentford or Leamington Spa. You’ll work hands-on across the full development lifecycle, with flexible hours, paid overtime, and clear progression in a collaborative, curious team.
Scope of the Role:
As Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will lead design and development workstreams across innovative, regulated medtech projects.
- Own mechanical design for class II/III medical device projects
- Create CAD models, engineering drawings, and documentation to ISO 13485 standards
- Collaborate with design, electronics, and firmware teams on full-lifecycle development
- Drive DFM, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing handover
- Engage directly with clients and internal stakeholders
Key Skills and Experience Required:
- Proven experience as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, Design Engineer, or Mechanical Design Engineer
- Expert user of SolidWorks for surfacing, assemblies, and drawings
- Strong background in injection moulding, DFM, and tolerance stack-up
- Experience in regulated environments (ISO 13485 or equivalent)
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised university
Salary and Benefits:
- £55,000 – £60,000 basic salary
- Paid overtime or time-off-in-lieu
- 5% employer pension contribution
- 22 days holiday (increasing to 25) + bank holidays
- Flexitime around core hours (10am–3pm)
